Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted unchanged 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Jui Li (TW:1512), which rose 9.97% or 0.68 points to trade at 7.50 at the close. Ichia (TW:2402) added 9.95% or 1.85 points to end at 20.45 and Kinko Optical (TW:6209) was up 9.92% or 2.55 points to 28.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Action Eltr (TW:3024), which lost 7.09% or 0.670 points to trade at 8.780 in late trade. Taiwan Mask (TW:2338) declined 5.93% or 0.80 points to end at 12.70 and Yageo Corp (TW:2327) shed 5.88% or 4.70 points to 75.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 430 to 339 and 111 ended unchanged on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.46% or 0.25 to $53.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.35% or 0.20 to hit $56.16 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.55 to trade at $1245.45 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.09% to 30.800, while TWD/CNY fell 0.04% to 0.2234.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 101.91.
