Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were DSM Kon (AS:DSMN), which rose 2.57% or 1.47 points to trade at 58.70 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) added 1.05% or 0.680 points to end at 65.680 and Unibail Rodamco SE (AS:UNBP) was up 0.76% or 1.70 points to 225.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA), which lost 1.03% or 0.076 points to trade at 7.269 in late trade. Aalberts Industries (AS:AALB) declined 0.93% or 0.29 points to end at 30.75 and SBM Offshore (AS:SBMO) shed 0.80% or 0.12 points to 14.94.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 70 to 58 and 9 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 3.72% to 14.13.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.63% or 0.34 to $54.10 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.42% or 0.24 to hit $57.13 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.15 to trade at $1173.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.59% to 1.0541, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8578.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 102.13.
