Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Basic Industry and Consumer Industry sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite fell 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Bank Artos Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:ARTO), which rose 30.19% or 32 points to trade at 138 at the close. Intermedia Capital Tbk (JK:MDIA) added 24.40% or 510 points to end at 2600 and Sekar Laut Tbk (JK:SKLT) was up 24.30% or 130.00 points to 665.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alakasa Industrindo Tbk (JK:ALKA), which lost 24.81% or 66 points to trade at 200 in late trade. Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara Tbk PT (JK:MKNT) declined 22.86% or 96 points to end at 324 and Vale Indonesia Tbk (JK:INCO) shed 15.93% or 470 points to 2480.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 175 to 110 and 114 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.81% or 0.43 to $52.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.77% or 0.43 to hit $55.58 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.05 to trade at $1196.75 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.64% to 13350.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.27% to 9957.25.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 101.18.
