Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which rose 2.07% or 1340.0 points to trade at 66000.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.14% or 120.0 points to end at 10660.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.09% or 15.0 points to 1395.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which lost 2.81% or 900.0 points to trade at 31100.0 in late trade. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 2.07% or 700.0 points to end at 33100.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 1.59% or 180.0 points to 11140.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.88% or 1.18 to $135.88 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 2.18% or 41.50 to hit $1943.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.26 to trade at $1240.64 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.32% to 3003.98, while BRL/COP fell 0.14% to 953.70.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.61.
