Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.90% or 25.0 points to trade at 1340.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.65% or 20.0 points to end at 1230.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was up 0.99% or 180.0 points to 18280.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.65% or 0.3 points to trade at 17.9 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 1.34% or 8.0 points to end at 588.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) shed 1.25% or 50.0 points to 3955.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 3.13% or 4.63 to $152.48 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 4.03% or 112.00 to hit $2667.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.74% or 9.25 to trade at $1261.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.64% to 2908.25, while BRL/COP fell 0.01% to 908.91.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 96.91.
