Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Basic Metals and Tourism sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO), which rose 3.43% or 1.750 points to trade at 52.750 at the close. Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) added 2.59% or 0.33 points to end at 13.05 and Aksa (IS:AKSA) was up 1.95% or 0.17 points to 8.87 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME), which lost 8.37% or 0.190 points to trade at 2.080 in late trade. Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) declined 6.79% or 0.530 points to end at 7.280 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) shed 6.25% or 0.050 points to 0.750.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 313 to 50 and 42 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 1.39% or 17.65 to $1290.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.73% or 0.34 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.86% or 0.42 to trade at $48.19 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.68% to 3.1148, while EUR/TRY rose 1.36% to 3.4445.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.57% at 97.76.
