Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Sports, Leasing & Factoring and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which rose 5.81% or 0.34 points to trade at 6.19 at the close. Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO) added 4.67% or 2.500 points to end at 56.000 and Deva Holding (IS:DEVA) was up 3.44% or 0.140 points to 4.210 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS), which lost 7.35% or 0.350 points to trade at 4.410 in late trade. Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA) declined 3.95% or 0.060 points to end at 1.460 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) shed 3.49% or 0.030 points to 0.830.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 215 to 111 and 78 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.18% or 2.35 to $1321.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.98% or 0.93 to hit $47.98 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.71% or 0.84 to trade at $50.08 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.52% to 2.9953, while EUR/TRY rose 0.79% to 3.3711.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 95.28.
