Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Wood, Paper & Printing and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 5.26% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) added 3.76% or 1.42 points to end at 39.22 and Nurol Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:NUGYO) was up 3.70% or 0.180 points to 5.050 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which lost 4.80% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.180 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 3.36% or 0.090 points to end at 2.590 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) shed 2.63% or 0.070 points to 2.590.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 188 to 142 and 76 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.09% or 1.16 to $1245.54 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.54% or 1.13 to hit $43.30 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.26% or 1.06 to trade at $45.85 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.72% to 3.5480, while EUR/TRY rose 0.44% to 3.9461.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 97.50.
