Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 1.09% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which rose 2.74% or 5.6 points to trade at 210.2 at the close. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) added 1.14% or 0.44 points to end at 39.09 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was up 0.17% or 0.2 points to 121.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which lost 3.80% or 5.64 points to trade at 142.96 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 2.84% or 8.1 points to end at 276.8 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) shed 2.73% or 8.2 points to 292.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 483 to 224 and 92 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.76% or 0.34 to $45.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.57% or 0.27 to hit $47.81 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.32 to trade at $1244.78 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.18% to 9.7028, while USD/SEK fell 0.53% to 8.4971.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.48.
