Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 0.36% or 0.32 points to trade at 88.62 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 0.20% or 0.12 points to end at 61.62 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 0.15% or 0.04 points to 26.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which lost 2.38% or 4.60 points to trade at 188.80 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.78% or 3.3 points to end at 181.6 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) shed 1.59% or 4.9 points to 302.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 369 to 220 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $48.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.45% or 0.23 to hit $50.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.72% or 9.75 to trade at $1347.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.18% to 9.4943, while USD/SEK rose 0.48% to 8.3864.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.46% at 94.54.
