Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 1.89% or 2.5 points to trade at 135.0 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 0.91% or 0.88 points to end at 97.53 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 0.85% or 1.6 points to 189.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 2.20% or 3.30 points to trade at 146.90 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.11% or 0.54 points to end at 25.08 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) shed 1.41% or 0.54 points to 37.73.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 341 to 249 and 58 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.89% or 1.34 to $44.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.38% or 1.15 to hit $47.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.17% or 2.25 to trade at $1327.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.43% to 9.5680, while USD/SEK rose 0.34% to 8.5093.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 95.35.
