Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 1.88% or 5.5 points to trade at 297.7 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 1.46% or 13.5 points to end at 938.0 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.27% or 2.4 points to 191.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 4.05% or 1.61 points to trade at 38.15 in late trade. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (BS:KINVBs) declined 3.86% or 9.6 points to end at 239.1 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) shed 2.14% or 6.4 points to 292.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 360 to 331 and 82 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.40% or 1.19 to $48.43 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.31% or 1.21 to hit $51.20 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.48 to trade at $1266.68 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.63% to 9.6142, while USD/SEK rose 1.01% to 8.8514.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 99.12.
