Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Investment Trust, Trading and Power & Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share rose 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.200 at the close. PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) added 50.00% or 0.1000 points to end at 0.3000 and Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) was up 14.29% or 0.100 points to 0.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL), which lost 15.15% or 14.70 points to trade at 82.30 in late trade. Nanda Investments and Finance PLC (CM:NAND) declined 12.80% or 9.70 points to end at 66.10 and Anilana Hotels & Properties Ltd (CM:ANIL) shed 7.69% or 0.100 points to 1.200.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 135 to 62 and 52 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $51.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $54.23 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.05 to trade at $1252.45 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.23% to 197.910, while USD/LKR fell 0.12% to 152.610.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 97.25.
