Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Industrial Investment and Hotels & Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270), which rose 10.00% or 1.85 points to trade at 20.35 at the close. Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070) added 9.91% or 3.20 points to end at 35.50 and Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) was up 6.27% or 2.00 points to 33.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:8012), which lost 2.38% or 0.70 points to trade at 28.70 in late trade. Qassim Agriculture Co. (SE:6020) declined 2.12% or 0.20 points to end at 9.25 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) shed 1.84% or 0.50 points to 26.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 42 and 26 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.42% or 0.22 to $52.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.48% or 0.26 to hit $54.20 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.13% or 1.45 to trade at $1131.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.18% to 3.9180, while USD/SAR fell 0.02% to 3.7511.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 102.97.
