Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Services, Property and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bk Of Phi Isla (PS:BPI), which rose 3.17% or 2.90 points to trade at 94.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) added 2.59% or 0.120 points to end at 4.750 and Jg Summit (PS:JGS) was up 2.17% or 1.500 points to 70.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Universal Robi (PS:URC), which fell 4.15% or 8.000 points to trade at 185.000 at the close. Philex Mining (PS:PX) declined 1.42% or 0.080 points to end at 5.560 and Semirara Minin (PS:SCC) was down 1.28% or 1.8000 points to 138.9000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 97 to 81 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Philex Mining (PS:PX) fell to 3-years lows; down 1.42% or 0.080 to 5.560.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.18% or 2.10 to $1161.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.47% or 0.25 to hit $53.03 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.20 to trade at $58.81 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.30% to 7.2674, while USD/PHP fell 0.29% to 45.125.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 96.27.
