Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Property, Holding Firms and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.12% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which rose 7.41% or 0.400 points to trade at 5.800 at the close. International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) added 4.32% or 3.500 points to end at 84.500 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) was up 1.69% or 0.280 points to 16.880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO), which lost 2.26% or 48.000 points to trade at 2080.000 in late trade. Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC) declined 2.05% or 0.120 points to end at 5.730 and JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) shed 1.58% or 1.250 points to 78.000.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 71 and 51 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.27% or 3.55 to $1328.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.44% or 0.21 to hit $47.12 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.89% or 0.44 to trade at $49.23 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.17% to 6.9554, while USD/PHP rose 0.02% to 46.370.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 94.62.
