Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Property, Banking & Financials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which rose 3.67% or 0.850 points to trade at 24.000 at the close. SM Investments Corp (PS:SM) added 2.06% or 13.50 points to end at 670.00 and Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) was up 2.02% or 4.00 points to 202.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC), which lost 1.99% or 0.260 points to trade at 12.800 in late trade. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) declined 1.49% or 3.00 points to end at 198.00 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) shed 1.18% or 0.180 points to 15.100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 73 and 47 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.62% or 7.65 to $1234.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.84% or 0.45 to hit $52.88 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.77% or 0.43 to trade at $55.47 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.02% to 7.2934, while USD/PHP rose 0.08% to 50.310.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 101.31.
