Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Banking & Financials and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which rose 6.69% or 0.420 points to trade at 6.700 at the close. Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 5.98% or 6.1000 points to end at 108.1000 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) was up 5.26% or 4.050 points to 81.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which lost 3.92% or 7.500 points to trade at 184.000 in late trade. GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) declined 2.60% or 40.000 points to end at 1500.000 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) shed 1.69% or 0.550 points to 31.950.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 100 to 74 and 59 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.58% or 7.75 to $1355.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.46% or 0.21 to hit $45.95 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.29% or 0.14 to trade at $48.49 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.04% to 6.9795, while USD/PHP fell 0.49% to 46.230.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.73% at 94.88.
