Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Auto & components, Capital Goods and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 2.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 13.24% or 0.14 points to trade at 1.19 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) fell 0.15% or 0.2 points to end at 129.8 and P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA) was down 0.29% or 1.00 points to 343.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which lost 4.97% or 6.80 points to trade at 130.00 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 4.52% or 0.33 points to end at 6.87 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) shed 4.38% or 6.60 points to 144.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 157 to 33 and 13 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 3.09% or 1.44 to $45.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.07% or 1.48 to hit $46.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.39% or 17.95 to trade at $1305.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.23% to 9.1050, while USD/NOK fell 0.29% to 8.1914.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.54% at 97.23.
