Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Energy sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.29% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP), which rose 7.00% or 8.60 points to trade at 131.50 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) added 5.47% or 5.2 points to end at 100.3 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was up 4.85% or 0.99 points to 21.41 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY), which lost 2.54% or 1.01 points to trade at 38.74 in late trade. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 2.37% or 1.50 points to end at 61.70 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) shed 2.26% or 0.02 points to 1.04.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 123 to 56 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 4.57% or 1.98 to $45.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 4.23% or 1.88 to hit $46.31 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.14% or 1.65 to trade at $1223.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.52% to 9.0502, while USD/NOK fell 0.45% to 8.4361.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 100.17.
