Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Insurance and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.78% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Nordic Nanovector ASA (OL:NANOV), which rose 3.10% or 2.25 points to trade at 74.75 at the close. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 2.74% or 3.8 points to end at 142.6 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 2.16% or 1.35 points to 63.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 14.82% or 31.5 points to trade at 181.0 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 3.26% or 0.55 points to end at 16.31 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 2.36% or 0.20 points to 8.08.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 81 and 28 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.23% or 0.56 to $46.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.19% or 0.57 to hit $48.31 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.31 to trade at $1217.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.41% to 9.4158, while USD/NOK fell 0.19% to 8.2693.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 95.65.
