Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 2.87% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.22 at the close. Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) added 2.25% or 10.5 points to end at 476.2 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was up 2.09% or 3.20 points to 156.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 2.08% or 0.6 points to trade at 29.7 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 1.95% or 0.56 points to end at 28.17 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) shed 1.90% or 1.20 points to 61.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 73 and 25 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.15% or 0.08 to $53.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.33% or 0.18 to hit $55.23 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.35% or 3.95 to trade at $1134.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.0978, while USD/NOK fell 0.09% to 8.7050.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 102.99.
