Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Transport, Auto & components and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 5.02% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.68 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 4.24% or 12.2 points to end at 300.0 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 3.87% or 0.22 points to 5.91 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 6.40% or 1.8 points to trade at 25.7 in late trade. TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) declined 2.82% or 4.1 points to end at 141.2 and Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) shed 1.84% or 1.25 points to 66.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 69 and 24 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.07% or 0.03 to $45.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.19% or 0.09 to hit $46.49 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.56% or 7.65 to trade at $1354.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.11% to 9.4314, while USD/NOK rose 0.45% to 8.5434.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 96.45.
