Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI), which rose 2.49% or 0.096 points to trade at 3.948 at the close. UnipolSai Assicurazioni SpA (MI:US) added 2.44% or 0.050 points to end at 2.100 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was up 1.62% or 0.36 points to 22.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which lost 3.60% or 0.490 points to trade at 13.110 in late trade. Recordati (MI:RECI) declined 1.82% or 0.58 points to end at 31.32 and Tenaris (MI:TENR) shed 1.77% or 0.27 points to 14.96.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 211 to 134 and 20 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.53% or 0.26 to $49.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $51.75 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.55 to trade at $1233.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.05% to 1.0743, while EUR/GBP rose 0.42% to 0.8698.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 100.15.
