Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which rose 2.07% or 0.37 points to trade at 18.22 at the close. Unipol (MI:UNPI) added 1.99% or 0.066 points to end at 3.382 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was up 1.68% or 0.42 points to 25.47 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saipem (MI:SPMI), which lost 1.99% or 0.0075 points to trade at 0.3698 in late trade. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) declined 1.66% or 0.1050 points to end at 6.2200 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) shed 1.10% or 0.070 points to 6.320.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 224 to 171 and 24 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.53% or 0.26 to $49.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.79% or 0.39 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.61% or 7.40 to trade at $1213.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.1135, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.7611.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 95.52.
