Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT), which rose 4.46% or 0.73 points to trade at 17.08 at the close. CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) added 2.83% or 0.250 points to end at 9.075 and Prysmian (MI:PRY) was up 2.67% or 0.67 points to 25.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which lost 1.84% or 0.180 points to trade at 9.605 in late trade. FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) declined 1.49% or 0.10 points to end at 6.29 and Campari (MI:CPRI) shed 1.47% or 0.16 points to 10.76.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 190 to 158 and 11 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.45% or 0.23 to $51.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.55% or 0.30 to hit $54.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.73% or 9.15 to trade at $1249.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.0654, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8540.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 100.57.
