Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 rose 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which rose 2.03% or 122 points to trade at 6139 at the close. Discount (TA:DSCT) added 1.80% or 12.7 points to end at 716.6 and Poalim (TA:POLI) was up 1.77% or 38 points to 2183 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 0.90% or 34 points to trade at 3753 in late trade. Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) declined 0.78% or 130 points to end at 16480 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) shed 0.69% or 26 points to 3740.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.42% or 0.72 to $50.07 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.18% or 0.62 to hit $51.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.45 to trade at $1254.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.29% to 3.8190, while EUR/ILS fell 0.12% to 4.2045.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 97.96.
