Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Healthcare and Travel sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 1.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 7.32% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.44 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 5.34% or 0.007 points to end at 0.138 and J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr) was up 5.14% or 0.018 points to 0.368 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Attica Bank (AT:BOAr), which fell 12.82% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.034 at the close. Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) declined 10.68% or 0.011 points to end at 0.092 and Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) was down 10.56% or 0.015 points to 0.127.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 52 to 33 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.49% or 5.50 to $1130.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.35% or 0.16 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.87% or 0.42 to trade at $49.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1150, while EUR/GBP rose 1.13% to 0.7322.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 96.57.
