Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Healthcare and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 12.62% or 0.05 points to trade at 0.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Elgeka (AT:ELGr) added 9.90% or 0.019 points to end at 0.211 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 7.24% or 0.047 points to 0.649 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which fell 13.97% or 0.019 points to trade at 0.117 at the close. Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) declined 11.20% or 0.014 points to end at 0.111 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was down 10.17% or 0.06 points to 0.53.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 49 to 49 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) rose to 52-week lows; gaining 7.24% or 0.047 to 0.649.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.27% or 3.00 to $1106.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.05% or 0.47 to hit $44.16 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.11% or 1.03 to trade at $48.01 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.1303, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.7340.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 95.50.
