Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Household, Banking and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 2.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 7.79% or 0.031 points to trade at 0.429 at the close. Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) added 4.12% or 0.100 points to end at 2.530 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) was up 2.20% or 0.040 points to 1.870 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which lost 9.66% or 0.0170 points to trade at 0.1590 in late trade. Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) declined 5.66% or 0.036 points to end at 0.600 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) shed 5.44% or 0.080 points to 1.390.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 76 to 25 and 13 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for February delivery was down 0.48% or 5.80 to $1194.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.19% or 0.63 to hit $52.38 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.96% or 0.54 to trade at $55.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.0623, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8717.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 101.39.
