Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Construction and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 8.33% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.04 at the close. Athens Water (AT:EYDr) added 5.65% or 0.23 points to end at 4.30 and Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) was up 4.20% or 0.06 points to 1.49 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frigoglass (AT:FRIr), which lost 27.91% or 0.14 points to trade at 0.37 in late trade. Reds (AT:CAMr) declined 16.39% or 0.059 points to end at 0.301 and Ellaktor (AT:HELr) shed 9.93% or 0.140 points to 1.270.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 45 to 43 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 0.75% or 9.20 to $1237.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.51% or 0.58 to hit $38.90 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.45% or 0.58 to trade at $40.63 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1389, while EUR/GBP rose 0.30% to 0.7909.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 94.50.
