Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Travel and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 9.38% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.140 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 4.09% or 0.021 points to end at 0.535 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 3.88% or 0.200 points to 5.350 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH), which lost 5.63% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.340 in late trade. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 5.52% or 0.009 points to end at 0.155 and Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) shed 2.62% or 0.130 points to 4.830.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.95 to $1268.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.48% or 0.24 to hit $49.48 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.23 to trade at $50.24 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.0932, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.9002.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 98.73.
