Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Household, Banking and Construction sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 9.52% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.138 at the close. Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) added 5.07% or 0.070 points to end at 1.450 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 4.08% or 0.004 points to 0.102 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 11.83% or 0.051 points to trade at 0.380 in late trade. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) declined 5.48% or 0.0460 points to end at 0.7940 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) shed 4.55% or 0.002 points to 0.042.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 56 to 44 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for February delivery was up 0.56% or 6.55 to $1179.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 2.83% or 1.53 to hit $52.46 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 2.82% or 1.61 to trade at $55.49 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.0562, while EUR/GBP rose 1.26% to 0.8683.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 102.04.
