Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 3.89% or 37.0 points to trade at 987.5 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 3.00% or 13.1 points to end at 450.4 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) was up 2.81% or 17.5 points to 640.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which lost 3.62% or 335 points to trade at 8920 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 3.25% or 290 points to end at 8645 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) shed 1.62% or 8.1 points to 492.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 62 and 22 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.64% or 1.18 to $43.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.61% or 1.64 to hit $43.73 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.12% or 27.45 to trade at $1266.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.07% to 6.5271, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4397.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 94.06.
