** Tronc Inc TRNC.O said it would sell some newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times and the San Diego Union-Tribune, to billionaire biotech investor Patrick Soon-Shiong for $500 million in cash.
TerraForm Power TERP.O, controlled by Canada's Brookfield Asset Management BAMa.TO, has launched a 995-million euro ($1.2 billion) takeover bid for Spanish renewable energy firm Saeta Yield SAY.MC to expand its presence in Western Europe.
