April 5 (Reuters) - Futures pointed to a modestly lower start for Canadian stocks on Wednesday, a day after the main stock index hit their highest in nearly six weeks on gains in shares of mining and energy companies. futures on the S&P TSX index SXFc1 were down 0.05 percent at 7:15 a.m. ET.
Dow Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures 1YMc1 were down 0.01 percent at 7:15 a.m. ET, while S&P 500 e-mini futures ESc1 were down 0.08 percent and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures NQc1 were down 0.11 percent. .N
