Well they’re currently holding $180 Billion in the yellow metal which in the grand scheme of things (GDP, Trade balance) still leaves them room to buy a lot more. Nothing goes up in a straight line, the big picture here is Gold is replacing fiat reserves for many central banks.

Govt reports non-farm payrolls at 272 which is way higher than expected and doesnt jive with any other data released earlier. Expect revisions. Gold has been kicked, concerted effort to save the dealers who are short, they sure don’t give up easily, lol.

Ding ding, above $2.400 again. Any paper shorters that are left must be getting frazzled. There ain’t no physical left to deliver.

US rate cuts coming, the Feds just don’t know it yet, too funny. Employment numbers much lower expect Fridays non-farm to follow suit. Gold to crack $2.400 again. (Eventually).

Sell off in India’s stocks has washed over into commodities, PM’s as many traders in that country face margin calls on their leveraged transactions. Trading will be fluid as more election results come in. Looks like Modi won’t get the majority he was expecting.

In the meantime, USD will hold up if other countries like Canada start the rate cut first.

Core PCE lower month over month, personal spending down, consumption down, Feds time to cut rates and stop dithering.
