Indonesia shares higher at close of trade; Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite up 0.58%

Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Industry, Mining and Trade sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite rose 0.58%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Rimau Multi Putra Pratama (JK:CMPP), which rose 34.81% or 47 points to trade at 182 at the close. Radana Bhaskara Finance Tbk (JK:HDFA) added 20.93% or 36 points to end at 208 and Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara Tbk PT (JK:MKNT) was up 16.59% or 170 points to 1195 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Duta Pertiwi Nusantara Tbk (JK:DPNS), which lost 19.63% or 86 points to trade at 352 in late trade. Bank Artos Indonesia Tbk PT (JK:ARTO) declined 14.75% or 27 points to end at 156 and Pelayaran Nelly Dwi Putri Tbk (JK:NELY) shed 11.70% or 20 points to 151.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 199 to 134 and 118 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.15% or 0.07 to $47.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.28% or 0.14 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.88% or 11.34 to trade at $1279.06 a troy ounce.

USD/IDR was up 0.13% to 13360.5, while AUD/IDR rose 0.13% to 10509.50.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 93.63.
